QA Engineer

As a QA Engineer at Salonkee, you will be at the forefront for shaping the quality of our products. You'll play a crucial role in our development process, ensuring every release meets our high standards for defect free software. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, keen eye for finding defects, and a passion for perfection.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with product management and development teams to grasp project objectives and testing goals.

• Engage in troubleshooting and triaging issues across teams, contributing to root cause analysis and resolution.

• Design, create, and implement test conditions, test data, and test scripts to address both business and technical use cases for the AUT (Application under test).

• Design, execute and maintain automation scripts using Cypress and other tools, focusing on efficiency and effectiveness.

• Develop and execute and maintain automation test scripts and analyse results for Web applications and iOS and Android devices, ensuring a high number of tests are automated and run before every release.

• Utilise JIRA and Xray for documenting, tracking, and escalating issues as necessary.

• Perform API testing using Postman, demonstrating a robust technical understanding of the process.

• Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.

• Collaborate in an agile development process, contributing to the team's continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience with cypress automation tool.

• Profound technical knowledge and hands-on experience in QA testing, especially in automation.

• Strong expertise in JavaScript, MySQL, and Cypress.

• Proven experience in designing and executing automated tests for mobile apps and web applications.

• Familiarity with API testing and tools like Postman.

• A good understanding of mobile apps and their ecosystem.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working as part of a team.

• Experience in an agile development environment.

• ISTQB Foundation certification is a plus.
