QA Tester

As a QA Tester at Salonkee, you will be at the forefront for shaping the quality of our products. You'll play a crucial role in our development process, ensuring every release meets our high standards for defect free software. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, keen eye for finding defects, and a passion for perfection.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop test conditions, test cases, test data and test scripts  to address both business and technical specifications for the AUT (Application under test).

• Execute functional, integration, system testing to ensure software quality with the identified test cases.

• Perform test cases execution and document test results utilising the test management tool - Xray

• Perform manual and automated testing across multiple environments and devices to ensure software functionality, performance, and reliability.

• Design, execute and maintain automation scripts using Cypress to improve testing efficiency.

• Identify, document, report and track defects, inconsistencies in a timely manner to seek resolution.

• Work closely with product managers, developers, stakeholders and other team members to grasp product requirements, design specification and technical constraints to achieve testing goals.

• Engage in troubleshooting and triaging defects, contributing to root cause analysis.

• Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.

• Participate in sprint planning and other agile ceremonies to ensure testing requirements are addressed for the sprint, and that product quality is consistently evaluated and prepared for release 

• Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by collaborating with internal cross-departmental teams when the product is ready for release.

• Participate in internal knowledge sharing sessions and contribute to team skill development.
  

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in QA testing, in automation and ability to critically analyze and contribute scenarios for manual testing.

• Expertise in JavaScript, MySQL, and Cypress.

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, Github) 

• Familiarity in API testing using Postman

• Strong knowledge of bug tracking and test management tool like Xray 

• Familiarity of mobile testing and/or experience with mobile testing frameworks 

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working as part of a team.

• Proactive, self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills.

• Enthusiastic about quality and a strong advocate for best practices.

• Experience in an agile development environment.

• ISTQB Foundation certification is a plus.
